VISION

A Miami Valley community where:

• Individuals may safely bicycle on roadways or connected multi-use paths;

• All persons, including children, are informed of the rules of the road;

• The roadways are willingly shared with bicyclists;

• Individuals choose to use a bicycle for commuting or as an alternative to private transportation because it is safe and efficient;

• Facilities are available to bicycling along scenic natural areas and individuals choose to use such facilities for enjoyment, recreation and exercise.

MISSION

To promote, create and enable safe bicycling opportunities in the Miami Valley.

GOALS

1. To be a proactive advocate of bicycling.

2. To provide a non-government, multi-jurisdictional forum to discuss bicycling improvements in the community.

3. To provide and support bicycling recreation, education and safety training opportunities.

4. To work with other users of multi-purpose paths to make the facilities safer and more accessible.

5. To be a centralized distributor of bicycling maps, materials, and safety brochures and to act as an ombudsman for bicycling inquires.
