Operation Registration:
Bicycle Registration
Operation Registration is a FREE Bicycle Registration Program, courtesy of the City of Dayton.
This simple program registers and identifies YOUR BICYCLE with Police Officers. It will also alert potential thieves that your Bicycle is being watched!
This is How it Works
Citizens that work or live in the City of Dayton voluntarily register their bicycle or their children's bicycle with "Operation Registration."
You complete the registration form, including a complete serial number and sign the release.
A Dayton Police officer will verify the information on the registration form and give you a copy for your records. The officer will then attach an "Operation Registration" sticker to the tube of the bicycle being registered.
The registration information will be maintained in a computer database by the Dayton Police Department. This information will assist in the identification and recovery process should your bicycle every get stolen or lost.
If you move, change your phone number or sell your bicycle, simply contact the Dayton Police Department with your new information.
How to Register
There are several ways to register your bicycle. You can register your bicycle by stopping by your neighborhood District Police Headquarters, a Dayton Fire Station, a City of Dayton Recreation Center, or by contacting Dayton Police Officer Jamie Bullens at 449-1285. You'll receive information on how and when to register your bicycle. Public sign-ups are scheduled periodically.
