This is a list of local bicycling  and other resources around the Miami Valley who contribute sweat equity, money or goodwill toward the development of bike trails or trail maintenance, in addition to adding value to our community. 

Pedal Pals - A FREE Program Matching Dayton-Area Bike Commuters! You can be a Pedal Pal if you: are interested in cycling to and from work or school with others; would like to help new bicycle commuters; would like an experience cyclist to advise you on your commute. Contact the RIDESHARE program at 937-223-SAVE or 1-800-743-SAVE. 

OKI - a council of local governments, business organizations and community groups committed to developing a better community in Ohio (O), Kentucky (K), and Indiana (I).

National Trail Parks & Recreation Districta cooperative effort between the Clark County Recreation Department, the Springfield Department of Parks, Recreation and Facilities  and a contractual agreement with the Clark County Park District. See their Trails Page.

Dayton Cycling Club - since 1961, offering club rides of varying lengths year around throughout the Miami Valley. For more information, contact the membership director.

Five Rivers MetroParks -  maintains the River Corridor Bikeway trail through Island Park and from Siebenthaler Avenue north to Shoup Mill Road,

City of Dayton - maintains  the River Corridor Bikeway from the south end of Triangle Park north to Siebenthaler Avenue.

Miami Conservancy District - maintains the River Corridor Bikeway  from Helena Street south to Crains Run Park near the Warren-Montgomery county line.

Five Rivers Metroparks is responsible for the development of the:

North River Bikeway which will be built north along the Great Miami River from Triangle Park in Montgomery County. Five Rivers MetroParks also maintain the
Wolf Creek Rail Trail between Trotwood and Verona; the Mad River Extension is jointly maintained. It runs between downtown and Eastwood MetroPark. The Mad River Extension is maintained from downtown Dayton to Eastwood Park by the Miami Conservancy District.
Five Rivers MetroParks maintains the section through Eastwood Park east to the Greene County Line. Greene County Park District maintains all section within Greene County.

Greene County Convention and Visitors Bureau - Good information on hotels & B&B's in the area.

Parkview Pedalers - A new family-friendly bicycling group formed at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, based in Kettering. Contact Caroline Ray for more information at 937-435-1428.

Dayton Daily News - Dayton's oldest and largest daily newspaper, founded by James Cox, former Dayton business mogul, Ohio governor, and presidential candidate.

Dayton Business Journal - Dayton's weekly business newspaper, reporting breaking news and area trends.

Metro-Links - Good resource for Dayton area news.

Dayton/Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau - Easy-to-access information about area attractions, hotels/motels, restaurants, calendar of events, and more.

Miami Valley RailTrails - This is our companion organization. The site has extensive information on local RailTrails in the Miami Valley including pictures, maps, places to stop and trail reviews.

Bent Trail Riders - A local organization of cyclists who ride recumbent bicycles.

Springfield Area Convention and Visitors Bureau - assists individuals, groups and associations interested in visiting Springfield and Clark County. Our services are free of charge!
