Giant - Hands down the best priced and best spec'd bikes in the world in nearly every category.

Kona - Funky Vancouver brand with durability and innovation as their standard ingredients. MTB, `cross and BMX.

Park Tool - The best tools for the job. Learn how to maintain your own bike if you're serious about commuting or touring.

Performance Inc. - The mail order and retail king. Great quality and price if you don't mind private label stuff.

Planet Bike - Smart accessories from a company which donates 25% of its profits to nonprofit advocacy. Buy from them or feel guilty for your disloyalty.

QBP - The pre-eminent bicycle parts distributor. This is who your bike shop buys from nearly every week.

Richard Sachs - If you want the best handmade, lugged, steel racing bikes, look no further than this Chester, CT builder. Richard still races (and wins), and his bikes reflect it.

Rivendell Bicycle Works - The best touring bike company in the world: durable, lugged steel frames; steel forks with flat crowns; leather saddles; waxed cotton bags; moustache handlebars. Now selling Atlantis touring bikes. Mmm, mmm goodness.
