17, 2001 – Bike Miami Valley has developed an advisory council consisting of
area and national executives to provide direction for the nonprofit bicycle
advocacy group, according to executive director Gary Boulanger.
“Our
board decided we needed to raise the profile of Bike Miami Valley, and we are
honored to have a host of civil servants and business leaders contribute their
expertise, influence and time to the cause of bicycle advocacy in the Miami
Valley,” Boulanger said.
The
Bike Miami Valley advisory council includes Jeff Boudouris, direct of
budgeting and planning for Sinclair Community College; Timothy Gocha,
senior pastor of Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Kettering; Raymond Keyton,
executive director of the Miami Valley AAA; Alan Koehler, Dayton
attorney; Tim Leiwig, director of Greene County Park District in Xenia; John
Moore, assistant fire chief for the City of Dayton; James Nunez, vice
president of Westminster Financial in Vandalia; Maureen Patterson, vice
president of Membership Services for Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce; Grant
Petersen, owner of Rivendell Bicycle Works in Walnut Creek, California; Arthur
Porter, publisher of the Dayton Business Journal; David Schmitz, vice
president of commercial banking at Provident Bank in Dayton; and Lee Whitney,
former partner of Baldwin & Whitney Insurance in Dayton.
