August 18, 2001 -- Bike Miami Valley, a nonprofit bicycle advocacy group serving the nine counties of the Dayton region, added three members to its board of directors Aug. 10.

The Miami Conservancy District's Michael Robinette, Miami Valley RTA's James Foster and Greene County Park District's James Schneider are expected to bring more exposure to the group, said Gary Boulanger, Bike Miami Valley's executive director.

The new members join Chairman Larry Hodapp, chief financial officer of Moraine Materials; Phil Hinrichs, supervisor at Ohio EPA; Dulie Greer, retired executive director of Bike Miami Valley; Marcia Sauer, owner of the Village Cyclery; and Charles Shoemaker, director of Five Rivers MetroParks.

Bike Miami Valley also is forming an advisory council that will provide direction to the board of directors. It expects to name the members of the advisory council in late August.
